Lone Star Christian Communicators Release of Liability

​

Please read carefully as this affects your legal rights.

​

In exchange for the activity of speech and debate instruction provided by Lone Star Christian Communicators on the property and facilities of Shenandoah Baptist Church, I agree to the following for myself and for the members of my family:

 

1. I agree to obey the rules of Lone Star Christian Communicators, whether provided in writing or orally by the leadership.

 

2. I will at all times assume personal responsibility for my children while at Lone Star Christian Communicators events. In the event that I am gone I will appoint another adult to chaperone my children. I understand that even if another adult is chaperoning my child, I am still responsible for the actions of my child and that Lone Star Christian Communicators does not assume responsibility for my child.

 

3. I agree to assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and my family and hereby release Lone Star Christian Communicators and its leadership for any injury, loss or damage arising out of a Lone Star Christian Communicators activity and/or the use of the facilities of Shenandoah Baptist Church, whether caused by myself, my family, a Lone Star Christian Communicators member or any third party.

 

4. I agree to indemnify and defend Lone Star Christian Communicators from any claims, causes of actions, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including all legal fees and other litigation cost arising from my or my family’s participation in Lone Star Christian Communicators and our use of the facilities of Shenandoah Baptist Church.

 

5. I agree to pay for all damages to the facility of Shenandoah Baptist Church caused by my or my family’s negligent, reckless, or willful actions.

6. I understand that this liability waiver in its entirety also applies to any other facility or location of a Lone Star Christian Communicators activity, including but not limited to local and out of town tournaments and camps, as well as meetings at Lone Star Christian Communicators member’s homes.

 

I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND UNDERSTAND IT. I REALIZE THAT BY SIGNING IT I VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
